Create a drafting view with a
1:1 Scale (12"=1'-1")
I suggest assigning a hot key to launch hatch22. I use "22".
Select the Stage Tab and if there is a
Red 'X'
next to "
All Subcategories Found
",
select the '
Make Line Styles Button
'.
This will create three line styles in your Revit file.
'
hatch22 - Continuous
',
'
hatch22 - Dashed
'
and '
hatch22 - Dot
'
Depending on
Build
of hatch22 you have, you may need to restart hatch22.
If there is a Red 'X'
next to the Boundary Box Version
,
select the 'Build Box Button
'.
This flag means that either there is not a
Boundary Box
family in your Revit file, or it needs to be updated.
The Boundary Box
is used to determine the Repeat Width and Height
and also stores your hatch pattern
Preferences
such as name, type and Auto Settings
.
There should now be a family in your detail items called "
hatch22 - Boundary Box
"
If you used hatch22 previous to
hatch22 - 2016.5
, you will be familiar with the line style '
hatch22 - Boundary
'.
The
Boundary Box
is not used instead of that line style.
That should generate a hatch pattern for you in the
Output Box
.
If instead you get a
Red 'X'
on the
Stage Tab
you probably have
Master Lines
that need to be adjusted. Within the
Stage Tab
select the
Modify Angle Button
to fix the line angles. They will be adjusted to the closest angle that will repeat cleanly.
If the lines needed to be adjusted, restart hatch22 and hit the
Play Button
again.
Hopefully the pattern will generate now. If instead there are other
Red 'X'
's,
note the message and take the appropriate action to fix it. There will likely be a button that will help you out.
If it is not obvious how to fix it, please contact

Select the
{error}
to place a filled region with your hatch pattern in your drawing.
If you make changes to the pattern and rerun hatch22 you can select the
Fill Button
to update the pattern in your filled region.
Much of this can be
Auto Settings
by checking the use preferences on the
Settings Tab
.
The Parameter Settings
are view specific and are stored in the Boundary Box
.
The Windows Settings
are computer specific and will apply to all views in all drawings.
